Loose

The sky was spinning, the sun in the sky was spinning, and the wind was spinning the clouds, spinning my head, spinning your love like a boomerang back to you. I imagine you warm in your covers, stroking her back like you did mine. I imagine your fingers following the curve of her spine, talking to her skin, interacting with her subconscious. I wish you happy while I perceive her as an object of yours, an accessory to your life, to your happiness.
Do you remember when we last saw each other? We met for that last dinner, and I think I teased you about your choice of drink. Do you remember how familiar that felt? How, for a moment or two, we were us again?
Then, you hugged my shoulders as if I was still yours and you were still mine.
